Pics from E.A.S.T. — East Austin Studio Tour 2016

 

I had a fabulous time these past two weekends exploring East Austin and the many wonderful art studios it has to offer. Each year the East Austin Studio Tour never fails to disappoint and is one of (if not) my favorite event in Austin. 

Unlike the West Austin Studio Tour where most studios occur in the artist's own home, E.A.S.T. is spread out amongst East Austin's many industrial like warehouses, architectural studios, co-working spaces, corporate offices, and even animal shelters.

My favorite places each year are always Canopy on Springdale and the neighborhoods surrounding East Cesar Chavez. While E.A.S.T. expands beyond these boundaries, there are those who try and make all 534 pitstops!
